Kyrgyzstan runner Daria Maslova won the gold medal in the women's 10,000 meters in the 2018 Asian Games at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) main stadium, Jakarta, on Saturday.

Daria reached the finish line at 32:07:23, while Bahrain runner Eunice Chumba trailed in second place for the silver medal after clocking 32:11:12.

Chinese runner Deshun Zhang pocketed the bronze medal with a time of 32:12:78.

The three runners raced fiercely ahead of the final lap. They left the other 11 runners behind. Daria saw off Eunice and Deshun and emerged as the winner.

Indonesia did not participate in the category.
