A
total of 28 gold medals in ten sports were awarded on the third day of the 2018
Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, South Sumatra, on Tuesday.
Indonesian
Eko Yuli Irawan won gold in the men's 62 kilogram weightlifting. Eko Yuli
lifted a total of 311 kilograms, with 141 kg in the snatch and 170 kg in the
clean and jerk.
In
addition to one gold medal, Indonesia also added three bronze medals in wushu
through Ahmad Hulaefi, women's badminton and sepak takraw.
As
of Tuesday night, China topped the medal table with 60 medals comprising 30
gold, 18 silver and 12 bronze. Indonesia remained in fourth place with 12
medals, consisting of five gold, two silver and five bronze.
