JAKARTA - A summary of the Facts & Figures of the events held on Friday 24 August.

General
Rikako IKEE (JPN) won her sixth gold medal to become the second person to achieve the feat at a specific Asian Games. after SO Gin Man (PRK), who won seven gold medals in men's shooting in 1982.
XU Jiayu (CHN) became the second man to win five gold medals in swimming at a single Asian Games.
SUN Yang (CHN) and Ryosuke IRIE (JPN) equalled PARK Tae-Hwan (KOR) in winning a record 14 total medals in swimming.
Yukiko UENO (JPN) won her fifth gold in women’s softball, equalling the record for most in a team sport, held by YOON Kyung-Shin (KOR) in the men's handball.
Ali ALLANJAWI (UAE) won the first-ever jetski gold medal at the Asian Games.
Iran’s women’s kabaddi team became the first NOC to defeat India in the history of the sport at the Asian Games. India had won all nine previous gold medals. And Iran’s men’s team later became the first NOC other than India (7) to win the kabaddi men’s team gold.
China won its 1400th gold medal at the Asian Games, in the rowing women’s four event.
Artistic Gymnastics
Men's vault: SHEK Wai Hung (HKG) repeated his gold medal from 2014. He is the only gymnast to have won medals in artistic gymnastics for Hong Kong, China.
Agus ADI PRAYOKO (INA) took bronze to claim the first-ever medal for Indonesia in artistic gymnastics.
Women's beam: CHEN Yile (CHN) won her third Asian Games gold medal. She had also won the individual all-around and was a member of the gold-winning team. She is the first gymnast to win three gold medals at these Games.
Men's parallel bars: China's ZOU Jingyuan won the gold medal. China has now won this event eight times, more than all other NOCs combined (7).
Women's floor exercise: KIM Su Jong (PRK) won DPR Korea's second gold in the women's floor exercise, after CHOE Jong Sil (PRK) in 1982.
Shiho NAKAJI’s bronze was the 100th medal for Japan at the 2018 Asian Games.
Men's horizontal bar: TANG Chia-Hung (TPE) gave Chinese Taipei its second gold medal in artistic gymnastics, after LEE Chihkai won gold in the men's pommel horse earlier these Games.
Bowling
Women's team of six: Republic of Korea won the gold medal. This is the first time this event has been held. Previously, an event with teams of five was held and Republic of Korea won a medal in all eight editions.
Cycling Road
Women's individual time trial: NA Ahreum (KOR) became the first cyclist to win both the road race and the individual time trial at a single Asian Games (men and women).
Men’s individual time trial: Alexey LUTSENKO (KAZ) joined NA Ahreum (KOR) as the only cyclists to win the road race and the individual time trial at a single Asian Games.
Fencing
Women's team epee: China has now won five of the seven gold medals in the women's team epee event at the Asian Games.
Men's team foil: Republic of Korea won its fourth gold medal in this event, one short of China's record of five.
Jetski
Runabout limited: Ali ALLANJAWI (UAE) won the first-ever jetski gold medal at the Asian Games to give United Arab Emirates its first gold at these Games and its fifth in total.
Ju-Jitsu
Women's newaza -49kg: Jessa KHAN (CAM) won Cambodia's second gold medal at the Asian Games, after Sorn SEAVMEY won the women's -73kg in taekwondo four years ago.
Men's newaza -56kg: Hamad NAWAD (UAE) won United Arab Emirates's sixth gold medal in Asian Games history, but its second of the day, after Ali ALLANJAWI won the runabout limited in jetski earlier on Friday.
Men's newaza -69kg: Torokan BAGYNBAI UULU (KGZ) won the first gold medal for Kyrgyzstan at these Games. It is the third gold medal for Kyrgyzstan in history, after athletics gold in the women's high jump in 2002, and men's Greco-Roman 74kg in wrestling in 2010.
Kabaddi
Women’s team: Iran won the women’s kabaddi final to become the first NOC to beat India in the sport (men and women) at the Asian Games. India had won all nine previous kabaddi events.
Men's team: Iran became the first NOC other than India (7) to win the men’s team gold. Iran had won two silver medals prior to this gold medal.
Rowing
Men’s lightweight single sculls: PARK Hyunsu (KOR) won the second-ever gold for Republic of Korea in men's rowing at the Asian Games, after SHIN Eun-Chul won the single sculls in 2006.
Women’s lightweight single sculls: LEE Ka Man (HKG) took bronze, her fourth rowing medal at the Asian Games and the 200th medal for Hong Kong, China in Asian Games history.
Men’s lightweight double sculls: Masayuki MIYAURA (JPN) and Masahiro TAKEDA (JPN) won Japan's fifth gold medal in this event, its best total in a single rowing event at the Asian Games.
Women's lightweight double sculls: Phuttharaksa NEEGREE (THA) claimed a bronze medal and now has eight Asian Games medals (G0-S2-B6), at least two more than any other rower.
Men’s quadruple sculls: India won its second rowing gold in Asian Games history.
Women’s four: China won its 1400th gold medal at the Asian Games.
Men’s lightweight eight: Indonesia claimed its ninth gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games and is now two short of its record of most golds at a single Games, which was also set in Jakarta (1962).
Shooting
300m standard rifle men: Hussain Ghuwayli ALHARBI (KSA) won silver to claim Saudi Arabia's first medal of the 2018 Games.
10m air pistol women: KIM Minjung (KOR) took silver and is the second Republic of Korea woman to get a medal in the 10m and 25m air pistol event at a single edition of the Asian Games, after KIM Byunghee in 2006.
Men's 10m running target: JEONG Youjin (KOR) won his first Asian Games gold to add to his four medals from previous Asian Games (silver in 2006, two bronzes in 2010, bronze in 2014).
Softball
Women's: Japan won the women's softball competition for the fifth consecutive time.
Yukiko UENO (JPN) won her fifth gold, equalling the record for most in a team sport, held by YOON Kyung-Shin (KOR) in the men's handball.
Swimming
Women's 50m freestyle: Rikako IKEE (JPN) won her sixth gold medal to become the second person to achieve the feat at a specific Asian Games, after SO Gin Man (PRK), who won seven golds in men's shooting in 1982.
IKEE has won eight medals in total at these Games, equalling the single Asian Games record as SO also won eight.
Men's 50m breaststroke: Yasuhiro KOSEKI (JPN) became the second man to win all three breaststroke events (50m, 100m, 200m) at a single Asian Games, after Dmitriy BALANDIN (KAZ) in 2014.
Women's 400m freestyle: WANG Jianjiahe (CHN) became the first woman to win the 400m and 800m freestyle double since CHEN Hua (CHN) in 1998. It is her fourth gold at these Games.
Men's 1500m freestyle: SUN Yang (CHN) became the first Chinese man to win the same individual swimming event three times.
Women's 200m individual medley: KIM Seoyeong (KOR) ended China’s winning streak of seven consecutive gold medals in this event when she became the second gold medal winner for Republic of Korea after CHOI Young-Hee (KOR) in 1982.
Men's 4x100 medley relay: China has won this event twice in a row for the first time, and won it three times in total, in 1990, 2014 and 2018.
Tennis
Women's singles: WANG Qiang (CHN) successfully defended the title she won in Incheon in 2014 and is the first woman to win multiple gold medals in the singles event at the Asian Games.
Men’s doubles: Rohan Manchanda BOPANNA (IND) and Divij SHARAN (IND) won a record-extending fifth gold medal for India in the men's doubles event.
Weightlifting
Women’s 63kg: KIM Hyo Sim (PRK) gave DPR Korea its first gold in the women's 63kg event and CHOE Hyo Sim (PRK) took silver for the NOC’s first ever 1-2 finish in women's weightlifting.
Men's 85kg: Safaa Rashid Mohmood ALJUMAILI (IRI) won Iran’s second gold in this event, after it took the title in 1998. Iran joined China on a record two gold medals in this event.
