Thailand Wins gold In Men’s keirin

Thai
cyclist Jai Angsuthasawit won a gold medal in the men’s cycling keirin at the
2018 Asian Games in the Jakarta International Velodrome, Pulomas, East Jakarta,
on Friday.
Angsuthasawit
competed in the men’s cycling keirin event along with world class cyclists such
as Yudai Nitta from Japan, Chaebin Im from Korea (KOR) and Mohd Azizulhasni
Awang from Malaysia in the six-lap race.
In
the final, Angsuthasawit came out as the fastest in the last 200 meters with a
time of 10.029 seconds.
Japanese
cyclist Yudai Nitta finished second with a thin margin of 0.003 seconds slower
than the winner.
Meanwhile,
Rio's Olympic bronze medalist, Mohd Azizulhasni Awang from Malaysia had to
settle for bronze after finishing third with a difference of 0.062 seconds.
Indonesian
cyclists Puguh Admadi and Terry Yudha Kusuma finished 10th and 15th
respectively.
