Uzbekistan Win Gold Medal In Men’s sambo

Uzbekistan’s athlete Kamoliddin Kholmamatov took home the gold medal in the prestigious -90 kilogram men’s sambo event after beating Umed Khasanbekov from Tajikistan with a score of 3-0 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday.

Kamoliddin previously defeated Japan’s Yasuke Sato in the preliminary round by keeping himself untouched to prevent his opponent from scoring any points.

The Uzbek fighter used the same strategy in the finals, where he gave no chance at all for Umed to gain any points.

In the second minute of the five-minute bout, Kamoliddin scored two points after executing a throw.

Kamoliddin again added another point in the fourth minute with a submission to make the score 3-0, which lasted until the end of the five-minute match.
