Indonesia’s Andriani Riska has won the silver medal in the 2018 Asian Games women’s singles 200 meter canoe event behind China’s Sun Mengya.

Riska finished with a time of 49.086 seconds, while Mengya finished in 49.07 seconds.

The bronze was won by Uzbekistan's Rakhmatova Dinoza with a time of 49.282 seconds.

Riska said she was satisfied with her silver-medal achievement.

"I struggled to win the gold medal, but the superiority of the Chinese athletes is undeniable," she said.

Meanwhile, in the women's singles 200 m kayak (K1), Indonesia’s Maysche Ibo Stevani failed to win any medals. The gold medal went to Kazakhstan's Clinova Inna with a time of 42.045 seconds, silver was won by Chinese Li Yue, and bronze by Japanese Yuka Ono.

Likewise, Indonesian kayaker Sutrisno in the men's singles 200 m kayak (K1) and Indonesian pair Tarra Anwar and Marjuki in the men's doubles 200 m canoe (C2), also failed to win a single medal.
