The Chinese Taipei women's softball team defeated Korea 3-2 at the Senayan Softball stadium, Jakarta, on Sunday.

Park Suyon of Korea bled from her left temple after a hard throw from Chinese Taipei pitcher, Chiu Anju. Suyon was pulled out for medical treatment.

Chen Chiayi made a homerun blow to take a 2-1 lead over Korea.

Entering the seventh innings, Won Hyesong of Korea joined the match as a replacement and was close to levelling the game. She, however, was tagged out when heading for the home base. The score turned 2-2 after Kim Hana touched the home base, avoiding the tag out range from Li Szushih.

Entering the eighth innings, Chinese Taipei again outperformed Korea by adding one point to make it 3-2, maintaining the scoreline to take the win.
