The Chinese Taipei men’s baseball team shut out Indonesia 15-0 in the preliminary round at the Baseball Stadium, Senayan, in Jakarta on Tuesday night.

Chinese Taipei hitters easily read the Indonesian pitchers' throws since the third inning. Chinese Taipei then fielded pitcher Lin Huaching, who put the Indonesian team in more trouble.

Chinese Taipei maintained the clean slate until the final inning, routing Indonesia with a score of 15-0.

In another match in Senayan, the Republic of Korea team dominated Hong Kong, China with a score of 21-3.

The victory put Korea in the runner-up position in Group B with two wins and one loss from three games. Hong Kong, China was ranked third with one win and two losses.

Meanwhile, China achieved a 16-3 victory over Pakistan in a Group A preliminary match at the Rawamangun Baseball Stadium, Jakarta.

China became the Group A runner-up with two wins and one loss, followed by Pakistan with two defeats from two matches.

Japan sat comfortably on top of Group A, while Thailand is in the bottom position.
