Korea (KOR) Wins gold In Women’s handball

The
Republic of Korea’s (KOR) women's handball team won the gold medal after
defeating China with a score of 29-23 in the final round of the 2018 Asian
Games at GOR Popki, East Jakarta, Thursday night.
The
two teams in the first half of the hour had played aggressively.
But
with the support of the fans, the Korean team always had the upper hand with a
score of 12-9 after the first round, with the advantage for Korea.
Korea
coach Key-chung admitted that his team
was indeed having a hard time defeating China because they had a strong team.
"We
tried to play defense and counterattack. And the strategy worked, " he
said.
For
him, his team won the medal because of their hard work.
"This
is the first gold medal I got, because this is the first time I coached the
Korean team," he said.
Meanwhile,
the captain of the national team, Yoo Hyun-ji, admitted she was proud of being
able to give gold to her country, and will try again to give the best to her
team and country.
China
ranked second and achieved a silver medal in the 2018 Asian Games.
The
top scorer in the final round match was Xiaomei Liu from China with 14 goals
from a total of 20 shots in Korea's goal. Meanwhile, Jung Yura from Korea had 8
goals from a total of 11 shots in China's goal.
