China's
diving team has secured all four synchronized diving gold medals after winning
the last two synchronized diving events at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Aquatic
Stadium in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Clad
in red swimsuits, Chang Yani and Shi Tingmao received the gold medal in the
women's synchronized 3-meter springboard after posting 335.70 points.
It
became China’s third synchronized diving gold following China’s victories in
the women's 10 m platform and the men's 3 m springboard a day before.
The
Chinese duo, who won the 2017 FINA World Championships and the 2018 World
Championships, outclassed Malaysia’s Nur Dhabitah Sabri and Yan Yee Ng, who
took home the silver with 298.23 points.
DPR
Korea duo Kim Kwang-hui and Kim Mi-hwa pocketed the bronze with a total score
of 282.78 points.
"We
did not keep track of our points; we were focused solely on our diving,"
Shi Tingmao told reporters after the competition.
Meanwhile,
China's men's duo Chen Aisen and Yang Hao emerged victorious in the men's
synchronized 10 m platform with 466.47 points, outperforming the Republic of
Korea's Kim Yeong-nam and Woo Ha-ram, who received the silver after collecting
406.05 points.DPR Korea's Hyon Il-myong and Rim Kum-song became the bronze
medalists with a total of 395.04 points.
Indonesian
pair Andriyan and Adityo Restu Putra settled for fourth position.
