KIngdom
of Saudi Arabia won the gold medal in the equestrian team jumping event in the
2018 Asian Games at the Jakarta International Equestrian Park (JIEP) in
Pulomas, Jakarta, on Tuesday.
Japan
took silver while Qatar took bronze. Saudi Arabia had an error rate of 10.90 in
the final round of the jump.
The
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia team comprised Ramzy Hamad Alduhami with his horse Ted,
Khaled Abdulrahman Almobty (Desert Storm II), Khaled Abdulaziz Aleid (Kayenne
of De Rocky Mounten) and Abdullah Waleed Sharbatly (Carrera).
Japan
was represented by Taizo Sugitani with his horse De Muze Heroine, Shota Ogumori
(Iron Man Sig), Toshiki Masui (Carthagena 6) and Daisuke Fukushima (Cornet 36)
and scored a 12.74 error rate.
Qatar
was represented by Hamad Alattiayah with his horse Clinton, Alsuwaidi Salmen
(Cantaro 32), Ali Althani (Sirroco) and Basem Mohammed (Argelith Squid) and
recorded 20.50.
Indonesia,
represented by Raymen Kaunang with his horse Conquistador, Yanyan Hadiansah
(Bodius), Kurniadi Mustopo (Capri's Pearl) and Ferry Wahyu Hadiyanto (Faults
Free), was knocked out in the preliminary round.
The 2018 Asian Games equestrian athletes will
compete for one more gold medal in the individual jumping category on Thursday.
