DUBAI: Zalmi win by 4 wickets against Lahore Qalanders.Peshawar Zalmi defeated Lahore Qalanders in a dramatic thriller by four wickets in the 25th match of PSL, thereby qualifying for the playoffs in the tournament's Karachi leg from this week.
The winning team was close to meeting defeat as Qalanders managed to rout wickets in the earlier overs. However, it was Misbah-ul-Haq's measured and experienced batting on the pitch that scored the required runs for the Zalmi's, along with a firm partnership with captain Darren Sammy.
On the other hand, Lahore Qalanders delivered a slow inning suppressing under pressure by Peshawar Zalmi as they amplified the strains by taking frequent wickets bringing the runs score to a slow pace after Fakhar Zaman and Anton Devcich led Qalanders to an aggressive start which backfired.
With AB de Villiers out of the Qalanders owing to a back injury, the team suffered a great loss, evident in today’s match as they struggled to put up a firm and unbeatable target. for the Zalmis.
